(Hamburg) An Omaha man faces charges after crashing a stolen van in Fremont County.
Fremont County Sheriff Kevin Aistrope says they received a call at around 12:44 a.m. of an irrigation pivot alarm on Railroad Avenue in Fremont County. Deputies arrived on scene a short time later and located a Chevrolet van that was reported stolen from Omaha.
Aistrope says following an extensive search, 53-year-old Thomas Allen Deloa has been charged with two-counts of Second Degree Theft and is being held on $10,000 bond.
The case is still under investigation and other arrests may be possible.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol and the Shenandoah Police Department K-9.
