(Omaha) Midwest bankers see nothing but clear sailing ahead for states like Iowa thanks to a stronger than ever farm economy. Creighton University Economist Ernie Goss says exports are critical to Iowa.
“I think the major factor we have to be on guard for is some issues related to Asia, in particular South Korea known as a very important trading partner,” stated Goss. “And trade is very important to the Ag sector so that is one of the real issues.”
Goss says for a change, housing sales in Iowa are now adding to the economy instead of pulling it down.
