(MALVERN) Two people were transported to the hospital following a single vehicle accident in Mills County Wednesday night.
The Iowa State Patrol says 21 year old Kevin Junior Booher, of Council Bluffs, was driving a 1997 Nissan 200sx eastbound on Highway 34 near 295th Street at around 10:55 p.m. Booher allegedly became distracted by a phone when the passenger noticed an animal in the roadway and yelled. Booher swerved and hit the bridge and guard rail. The vehicle came to rest in the guard rail.
Booher and his passenger, 20 year old Megan Nicole Beckstrom, of Red Oak, were both transported to Creighton Hospital by Malvern Rescue.
