(Audubon) The Audubon City Council and City Attorney are pumping the breaks on a potential lawsuit against the owners of a rubble producing building located at 321 Washington Street. The building had collapsed late last summer and the debris is yet to be removed.
During the March 11th meeting the council voted to instruct the city attorney to file a lawsuit against the owners of the building at 321 Washington Street. However, the city Attorney has since received a letter from the building owner’s lawyer stating that an asbestos removal company will be coming to clean up the mess. Removal of the asbestos is scheduled to get underway tomorrow.
