(Harlan) Shelby County Emergency Management Officials are asking residents to please keep your Fire Danger Signs in the Moderate Category through Thursday.
Officials say they hope the rain forecast; over the next few days will contribute to the “greening up”.
According to the press release, people planning to do burns should be aware of the frontal activity in the area and the shifting of winds associated with frontal passing.
The Shelby County Emergency Management Office can assist individual farmers and businesses with the development of burns plans, to assess the safety of any particular burn. These will be developed jointly with the Fire Chief of the Jurisdiction, and the property owners.
Please contact Jason Wickizer at 755-2124 for this assistance.
Next update will be Thursday, a.m., April 11.
