(Des Moines) There is a chance of rain across the Iowa Saturday.
“The best chance for rain is in the northeast part of the state,” stated Johnson. “We have a cool trough moving through the state Saturday morning and a wind shift will accompany that front. There won’t be a lot of cold air initially, and showers and isolated thunderstorm will be pretty spotty with the main threat in the northern counties of Iowa.”
Jeff Johnson with the National Weather Service Office near Des Moines says a better chance for statewide rain may come early next week. He also says enjoy the 60-degree temperatures on the weekend, next week it’ll be cool again.
