(Atlantic) The search began today for a new Cass County Hospital CEO to replace Pat Markham who plans to retire at the end of this year.
“The position was posted today internally as part of hospital policy that we post all openings in house first,” stated Don Johnson, Assistant Administrator for Human Recourses.
Johnson says that will be followed by a special board meeting to decide what other steps will be taken in the process. He says surveys have been sent out to board members to find out what type of a candidate they are looking for.
“The board needs to fill that out and we will score it and calculate it, and it is computerized and that tells us what the culmination of what the board is looking for,” Johnson said. “They are just starting that process so we won’t know what that looks like for another few weeks.”
Pat Markham, who has worked for CCMH for 27-years, gave the hospital board plenty of advanced notice that she planned on retiring at the end of this year and that time has come.
