(State) It’s something that almost everyone buys whether it goes up or down in price. Despite the fluctuating price, people need it, and people get it. It’s gasoline.
Remember when gas was down near $3.00 per gallon? Things have crept back up since then to $3.59 per gallon on average in Iowa. Gail Wienholzer with Iowa/Minnesota AAA says that’s the difference between winter and summer blend.
Wienholzer says Iowa is 23 cents below where they were a year ago and six cents below the national average. Prices are starting to level off after an early peak this spring.
