(Washington, D. C.) Will he or won’t he? Iowa Congressman Steve King Monday says he is closing in on a decision on whether or not he’ll run for Senate or not. And, the western Iowa Republican says he’s not going to “rush blindly” into a decision.
“I need to look at the numbers, I need to look at the analysis, and we will build this thing on paper just as if we are going to launch a campaign,” stated King. “We will build that all on paper and we will know what we need to do and have the game plan all there with all the x’s and o’s all out there.”
The Congressman says he’ll get all the information he can and then, after consulting with his advisors, check his “heart, head, and gut.” But, King did say “it’s a little more than fifty-fifty,” he will run for the Senate seat being vacated by Tom Harkin.
