INMATES SENTENCED IN DEATH OF FELLOW INMATE
(CLARINDA) Three inmates were sentenced to ten years in prison for the death of a fellow inmate at the Clarinda Correctional Facility last summer.
Martin Dahlke, Roland Jacobsen and Jeremy McIntosh each pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and assault causing serious injury in connection with the death of 44-year-old Alfred Eugene Myre. Myre was found dead by a correctional employee on June 14th in the yard area of the Clarinda Correctional Facility. The results of an autopsy show that Myre died from an assault.
The sentences for Dahlke, Jacobsen, and McIntosh will be served concurrently with their current prison terms. Charges against Richard Martin Jr., another inmate allegedly involved in the assault, were dismissed last week.
