(COUNCIL BLUFFS) The Centris Federal Credit Union at 2825 Ave G in Council Bluffs was robbed Wednesday afternoon.
The Council Bluffs Police Department says a suspect walked into the credit union and walked up to the teller window where 31 year old Melina Harrill was working. The suspect asked her to cash a check and hands her a hand written note. The note stated to get all of the money out of the drawer and that he had a 38 cal. and will use it if he has to. Harrill emptied her drawer of cash and gave it to the suspect. The suspect did not produce a weapon during the robbery and fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. There were only three employees inside the business at the time of the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6’ tall, 180 lbs, brown hair, and thin build. He was wearing a light colored sweatshirt, ball cap, glasses and gloves. If anyone has information pertaining to this robbery, call crime stoppers at 712-328-7867.
