ATLANTIC SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS HVAC PROJECT
(Atlantic) Design Alliance will present their proposal for the Atlantic Middle School HVAC project at the School Board’s work session tonight.
Atlantic Schools Superintendent Dr. Michael Amstein says, the Middle School Building is the only facility in the school system that is not air-conditioned. He adds it is a difficult project for a couple of reasons
“The middle school has been designated as a historic building so there are some things you can and cannot do. In addition, the size of the building makes it difficult to complete an HVAC project for it.”
The cost of the project is unclear; however, Dr. Amstein said it could run in the neighborhood of $6 million.
The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Atlantic Middle School Media Center.
