(Des Moines) Iowa Governor Terry Branstad names Panora resident Jo Ann Johnson as Superintendent of the Iowa Division of Credit Unions. Johnson replaces James Forney, who resigned.
The Governor made the announcement Tuesday and he also submitted Johnson’ name to fill a four-year term that would begin in May.
Johnson was elected to the state senate in 1994 and was appointed to the National Credit Union Administration in 2002. She served as chairwoman of that agency from 2004 to 2008.
The Division of Credit Unions oversees enforcement of laws and regulations governing credit unions.
