WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR MOST OF IOWA THIS MORNING
(Des Moines) Bundle up this morning …sub-zero temperature readings are prevalent throughout southwest Iowa. It was 8-below zero in Atlantic at around 4:30 a.m. The high today is only expected to reach 4-degrees above zero, well below the normal high of 33-degrees.The record high is 64-degrees set back in 1987, the record low is 34 degrees below zero set back in 1971.
A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until noon today. According to the National Weather Service, Wind chill readings will range from 20 to 30 degrees below zero this morning.
