(Des Moines) Be careful on your drive to work this morning. Tuesday’s snow has left some of the regions’ highways a little slick causing a handful of area schools to delay classes.
According to the National Weather Service in Des Moines, snow amounts ranged from 1-inch in eastern Pottawattamie County, 2-inches in Cass County, 3.8-5-inches in Adair County, to 7-inches in Union County.
According to the latest road reports; Interstate 80 between Adair and Menlo is partially covered with snow and ice, Highway 59, between Emerson and 4-miles east of Stanton, is mostly covered, and Highway 34 near Creston covered with mixed snow ice or slush.
The rest of the week looks dry through Monday morning, with a chance of snow Monday night.
