The forecast for tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Des Moines, calls for widespread blowing snow before 3:00 a.m, then snow likely after that. The low will be around 20-degrees and a wind chill value of 10-above with a blustery northeast wind 7 to 16 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 23-miles per hour with a new snow accumulation of 3-to-5 inches possible.
Tomorrows’ forecast calls for a slight chance of flurries before noon, then cloudy, with a high near 24. Wind chill values as low as 10 above. The wind will be out of the north at 7-to-14 miles per hour becoming west/northwest in the afternoon.
Friday night, mostly cloudy, with a low around 7, and wind chill values as low as zero, with a west win 6-to-9 miles per hour.
