(ATLANTIC) The Cass County Board of Supervisors approved the second and final reading, and adopted, an amendment to the zoning ordinance regarding gun sales and an indoor shooting range.
Rich Hansen, Zoning Administrator, told the Supervisors at last week’s meeting that
Kevin McCunn has plans to build a facility that would offer gun sales, repair and an indoor shooting range near Massena. Until now, there was nothing listed in the zoning manual that would cover a business of this type.
The zoning ordinance was amended to add “Indoor shooting facilities” under the Recreational Amusement Activities portion of the Business District and also add Gun Sales, Gunsmithing and Repair under the Permitted Principal Uses.
In other activity, the Supervisors approved the appointment of Teddi Grindberg to the Cass County Local Food Policy Council.
