(HAMBURG) A Rockport, Missouri man was arrested in Fremont County for damaging a train.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says they received a call at around 8:49 this (Friday) morning from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway of a male who had boarded a train engine parked near the intersection of Main Street and Washington Street in Hamburg and was causing damage.
Upon arrival, deputies found 27-year-old Joseph Wendell Wilson still on scene and he was taken into custody. BNSF rail crew stated Wilson had boarded the train prior to their arrival, opened several engine compartments and had disabled the train.
Wilson was arrested for Trespass and was held on $1,000 bond. Further charges are pending.
