(Stanton) A Stanton woman was injured in a rollover accident in rural Montgomery County Sunday morning.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says 70-year-old Carolyn Houston, of Stanton, was traveling south on O Avenue, just south of 250th Street, at around 10:00 a.m., when her vehicle hit a patch of ice and spun out of control. The car left the road and slid into the west ditch, struck a driveway embankment causing the vehicle to go airborne before landing and rolling onto the driver’s side.
Houston had to be extricated from her vehicle with the “Jaws of Life,” by the Stanton Fire Department. Houston was transferred to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak by Stanton Rescue.
