GREENFIELD RESIDENTS TO VOTE ON HOTEL/MOTEL TAX IN MAY
(Greenfield) The Greenfield City Council gives the green light Friday to a proposed hotel/motel tax to be placed on the May 3 Special Election ballot for a local option tax renewal.
The Greenfield City Clerk’s Office says the levy amount hasn’t officially been set, but proponents are leaning toward the full 7-percent for people renting rooms. Officials say 50-percent of the funds will go to tourism and 50-percent would go towards the Greenfield Sports Complex.
ADCO Enterprises is currently remodeling the “Hotel Greenfield” making it into a 20-unit facility.
