GROUP FILES ETHICS COMPLAINT AGAINST GREENFIELD REPRESENTATIVE
(Des Moines) Members of a pro-medical marijuana group making good on a threat to file an ethics complaint against an Iowa lawmaker this morning.
Mike Pesche of the “Iowa Clemency Project” says Representative Clel Baudler’s admission of “Lying” to a California Doctor to obtain a prescription for medical marijuana last summer means the Greenfield Republican broke the law.
“This complaint is specifically against the violations that Baudler did,” said Pesche. “From this point we just want to go to the next step where there will actually be hearings.”
Pesche claims Baudler should be “impeached” for his actions. Representative Baudler says he is not even sure the person he talked in Venice Beach was a doctor. He says he wanted show how people might abuse medical marijuana if it is ever approved here.
