(Des Moines) A dense fog advisory is in effect until noon today for all of western Iowa.
According to the National Weather Service, visibilities are reduced to less than a mile at times. Forecasters say this could cause hazardous driving conditions. In addition, roadways generally north of Highway 30 may freeze again and become slick as temperatures hover near freezing.
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter of a mile. If driving slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
