(Atlantic) A thin layer of frost is being blamed for several accidents on area roadways this morning.
There are reports of cars in the ditch on Highway 6 southwest of Atlantic, and Highway 83 west of Atlantic to name of few.
Atlantic Police Chief Steve Green says the roads are covered with frost that is not visible to motorists. He says people are approaching the curves and losing traction and sliding into the ditches. Green says there have also been some close calls at some of the intersections in Atlantic. He says, "people need to drive with their heads up this morning and slow down especially around the curves."
There have been a couple of minor injuries reported this morning.
