(SHAMBAUGH) A Shambaugh woman was arrested for Domestic Abuse Assault and Interference with Official Acts.
The Page County Sheriff’s Office says Deputies responded to a domestic situation at 107 Main Street in Shambaugh at around 6:41 pm on Wednesday. During the investigation, 43-year-old Jodie Marie Sherman became combative. Once Sherman was subdued, she was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault and Interference with Official Acts. Evidence in the investigation showed that Sherman had assaulted her acquaintance, Douglas Richt, who resides at the same residence.
Sherman was transported to the Clarinda Regional Health Center by Clarinda Ambulance. She is currently being held in the Page County Jail on no bond pending an appearance before the magistrate.
The Page County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by an officer from the Clarinda Police Department.
