(Macedonia) Lawmakers will go back to work on Monday as the 2013 Legislative session gavels in. Fourth term Macedonia Republican Representative Greg Forristal, represents the 22nd District all within Pottawattamie County. Forristall knows one thing for certain this session.
“The house Republicans will absolutely will not spend more money that what are revenue is, we are not going to deficit spend, we are not going to rely on one time money for ongoing expenses,” stated Forristall. “If there is a surplus that means excess taxation, and that’s money that needs to be returned in some manner to the taxpayers.”
Forristall, a member of the Ways and Means Committee, looks forward to and expects to see a substantial amount of bills that have to do with property and income tax issues this session as well.
