(Onawa) Two men are in custody for allegedly breaking into a Monona County home and assaulting the occupant.
According to the Onawa Police Department, two men allegedly forced their way into a 75-year-old woman’s Onawa home and assaulted her with a stun gun and stole her money. Police received the 9-1-1 call early Wednesday and went to the home of the woman, who lives alone.
One of the perpetrators, age 20, was arrested later that day. A 19-year-old suspect was taken into custody Thursday. They are suspected of several felonies, including first-degree burglary and assault while participating in a felony.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
