(Clarinda) A student at the Clarinda Academy was arrested on assault charges Thursday.
According to the Clarinda Police Department, officers arrested 18-year-old Jason Lovell Congress, of Clarinda for misdemeanor assault resulting in bodily injury. He allegedly assaulted another 16-year-student at the Academy who sustained a broken jaw.
Congress was transported to the Page County Jail and held on $1,000 bond pending an initial appearance in front of the Page County Magistrate Court.
