(Atlantic) Doing the most good is the slogan for the Salvation Army and the Red Kettle Campaign in Cass County did over $10,000 worth of good this holiday season.
The Annual Red Kettle Campaign for Cass County eclipsed last year’s donation by receiving $10,608.70.
Duane McFadden says over 90% of that money stays in Cass County to help residents in a variety of ways.
"It goes to people who need gas to get to a job, black shoes and such for those who need a uniform for a job, backpacks for students, and backpacks with food for student's who may not have weekend meals."
McFadden says 75 bell ringing volunteers were involved in this year’s fundraising efforts.
