(Ventura) A hospital aircraft crashed Wednesday in Northern Iowa killing all three people on board.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office says the medical helicopter affiliated with Mercy Medical Center North Iowa was flying from Mason City went down in a farm field north of Ventura at around 9:00 p.m. The Pilot and two flight nurses were killed. No patients were on board.
The cause of the crash is unknown and FAA Officials were called in to investigate. A witness says he saw “a big fireball” on his way home.
