The monthly economic report from Creighton University Economist Ernie Goss on the Midwest economy shows another month of lackluster growth. Goss says there are a lot of uncertainties keeping businesses from spending.
“We’ve got healthcare reform and other tax increases that go in place for the first business day of this month so all of that is putting businesses on the sideline,” explained Goss.
He says of the 9 Midwestern States surveyed, Iowa seems to be slightly better off than the rest.
