(Atlantic) Slick road conditions caught some drivers off guard this afternoon in the city of Atlantic.One vehicle spun out on the ice near 107 East 7th Street.
In a separate incident two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 71 and Highway 6. Both accidents occurred just after 1:30 p.m.
In the meantime, the DOT made a sweep through the city and the snow is moving out which has helped to improve road conditions within the city for now.
The weather forecast calls for light snow to redevelop though midnight, then light patchy freezing drizzle after midnight. Snow accumulation of up to one inch is possible with a low temperature of 15 to 20 degrees. The mercury is expected to slowly rise after midnight with a light glazing of ice expected Friday morning.
