(Des Moines) Plans are in the works for a big, annual career fair, January 10th. Organizer Nancy Parli says it’s expected to attract at least 60 or 70 employers.
“A lot of different companies will be there representing manufacturing positions, as well as business positions, finance positions, and those types of things, “commented Parli.
She says the annual “Iowa Career Expo: typically attracts job-seekers from across the state. The event is January 10th at Hy-vee Hall, Downtown Des Moines. - She says the job market may be tight, but career fairs can be a place to “network.” A recent manpower employment outlook survey showed 74 percent of employers surveyed indicated they plan to keep staffing levels the same in 2013, 16 percent said they plan to hire more.
