(State) The winter weather has reportedly claimed the life of three people on snow and ice covered roadways today.
According to multiple reports three people have died in a 25-30 car pileup on Interstate 35. The pileup occured in the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 at mile marker 150 near the Hamilton and Wright County line. The accident occured at a time when the visibility was near zero. There has also been a multiple vehicle accident reported on Interstate-80 eastbound near Grinnell. A travel advisory has been extended until midnight tonight.
The Iowa State Patrol has confirmed one death and says their may be more as they sort through the accident.
