(Harlan) At least 8 inches of snow fell in Shelby County according to engineer Dan Ahart who reports that all of the paved roads in the county were being cleared off early this morning.
“The winds making it awful difficult today. It's blowing awful hard and as anticipated there are high gusts. It's making it pretty hard.”
The next order of business is to try to get to as many gravel roads as possible.
“Just trying to get around and get everything one way, a hole in it today. With the wind that's going to be problematic, we are experiencing drifting right behind us. If the wind dies down maybe we will have a chance. I'd definitely encourage the public to stay put, maybe wait until mid-afternoon when we can get some of this done.”
