Dirks said this year West Central Community Action provided over 1.8 million dollars in services to Cass County and worked with 676 household which is made up of 1,586 individuals.
“We feel, at our agency, that if we can keep our administration costs below 5%; which we were at 3.89% last year, and our overall delivery costs under 20%; which we came in at 14%, we feel like we’re doing our job and giving the biggest amount of our dollars out to our clients,” said Dirks.
WCCA provides help with services such as the Low Income Heating Assistance Program, WIC, family development, senior employment, childcare resource and referral and head start; just to name a few.
Dirks also presented their annual funding request. This year they are requesting $3,500, which is $500 more than last year.
