(Walnut) In the midst of a major renovation project, Prairie Rose Lake is still receiving attention during the winter months.
Dredging projects will go out for bid soon according to Brian Hayes, Fisheries Biologist with the Iowa DNR,
"Restoration and renovations are alot of what the DNR is about. We are working through engineering to complete a design on a containment sight for our dredge spoil."
Hayes say that portion of the project has a target completion date of July 1st, 2013.
"Estimated cost of dredging is $1.3 Million so a significant investment into Prairie Rose will be made. That's not all hunting and fishing dollars that's an investment that's being made by our tax payers here in the state of Iowa."
