(Harlan) The Harlan School Board with much regret accepted the resignation of Head Softball Coach Toshia Kasperbauer Monday evening.
Harlan Community Schools Superintendent Justin Wagner says Kasperbauer is stepping down so she can be with her children.
“She did a great job and Toshia is a great person and she basically told us that she has kids and a family and would like to stick this out,” stated Wagner. “But she says she needs to be a mom first and we really respect and honor that, and we want parents to be parents and we certainly want our staff to be that too.”
Wagner says while it is a loss for the softball program her current leadership and putting her family first is a real win…win, especially in today’s society when there is so much going on. “But we are going to miss her.”
Kasperbauer will remain as the Special Education Teacher at the Harlan Middle School.
