(LENOX) A Shannon City man was arrested following a high speed chase in southern Iowa early this (Tuesday) morning.
The Lenox Police Department attempted to stop a white Cadillac on 120th Street at around 1:02 am for failure to have a license plate. The driver of the vehicle, 35-year-old A.J. Miller, fled from the officer and exceeded speeds of 80 miles per hour during the chase. Miller was stopped in Ringgold County with assistance of the Taylor, Ringgold and Union County Sheriff’s offices.
Miller was arrested for Driving with a Suspended License, Failure to Have Insurance, Failure to Obey Traffic Control Devices, 80 mph in a 55 mph zone, eluding, and Operating a Vehicle under the Influence of Narcotics.
The car was impounded and Miller was transported to the Taylor County Jail.
