(Atlantic) The Lewis, Iowa man facing multiple counts of sexual abuse is back in court today.
A Pre-trial Conference has been scheduled for 9:00 a.m. this morning for Roger Erickson, who is scheduled to go back to trial on December 11. His lawyer, has filed a motion of continuance. That motion will be addressed this morning by the Judge.
On August 30, the Judge presiding over the State vs Roger Ericksen, declared a mistrial. The jury entered the court room at 3:00 that afternoon and declared that they had come to an impasse and Ericksen was returned to custody.
Days later, Judge Kathleen Kilnoski set December 11, as the new trial date.
Roger Erickson faces 46 counts of third degree sexual abuse, 2 counts of lascivious conduct with a minor and 2 counts of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse.
