(SHENANDOAH) An Emerson man was seriously injured in a two vehicle accident in Fremont County today (Tuesday).
The Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred at the intersection of 150th St. and 380th Ave. A 1996 Peterbuilt dump truck, driven by 24-year-old Jacob Miner of Red Oak, had been rear-ended by a 1994 Peterbuilt dump truck, driven by 47-year-old John Miner Jr., of Emerson. Both vehicles had been traveling east on 150th Street at the time of the accident. The truck driven by Jacob Miner had slowed to turn north onto 380th Ave. when he was rear-ended.
John Miner was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center by Mercy One with serious injuries. Jacob Miner was transported by Shenandoah Rescue to the Shenandoah Medical Center with minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
