(Greenfield) Wes Ehrecke, the Head of the Iowa Gaming Association says they’ll be back at the Statehouse next session trying to get internet poker legalized in Iowa.
“Not with my vote,” stated Greenfield Republican Representative Clel Baudler adding, that the state of Iowa currently has plenty of gambling opportunities.“I don’t think we have to help people sit home on their computer and gamble,”
Baudler says the social costs are overwhelming compared to what the state would gain in increased revenue.
Meanwhile, Wes Ehrecke says they will work with lawmakers to find the best fit for the state and it would be regulated by the Racing and Gaming Commission.
