(Denison) On November 18th, a search warrant was executed by the Crawford County Sheriff's Department at 2946 Hwy 30 lot 55 east of Denison.
As a result of the search warrant, more than a pound of Methamphetamine, along with scales, drug paraphernalia and packaging equipment were located and seized as well as a shotgun.
A short time later Apolinar Hernandez-Guzman was found hiding udner a vehicle just north of the residence and in his possession was a loeaded handgun which was later discovered to have been stolen from a burglary in Denison back in 2009.
37-year-old Apolinar Hernandez-Guzman of Denison was then arrested and taken into custody and charged with 1 count of delivery of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine, 1 cound of possession with intent to deliver more than 5 grams of methamphetamine, 2 counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, 1 count of possession of stolen firearm, and 1 count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hernandez-Guzman was booked into the Crawford County Jail on his charges. He is also being detained for Immigration Customs Enforcement.
The investigation leading to the search warrant was conducted by the Crawford County Sheriff's Office. Assisting with the search warrant was the Iowa State Patrol, the Denison Police Departement, and Cass County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit.
