(Greenfield) Greenfield Republican Representative Clel Baudler is heading back to the state house for another term. Baudler and Panora businessman Greg Nepstad squared off in the newly drawn 20th district house race. Baudler garnered 8,094-votes to Nepstad’s 5,850.
“I would to thank the people who supported me with their yard signs and votes and coming to the events during the campaign season,” stated Baudler. The city of Perry has been added to his new district and he admits he has never lived in a town as large as that. He says his representation won’t change that much except for more of a Union presence in his new district.
“My issues have always been public safety and natural resources,” explained Baudler. “I think the Union pressure will be different…I have never had that much Union pressure on me.”
Clel Baudler will be serving his 8th term in the Iowa house when the session begins in January.
