(Des Moines) Three polls were published Thursday and the margin of a lead for the incumbent in the 4th District of Northwest Iowa depends on which group conducted the survey.
Public policy polling found Republican Incumbent Steve King with a three-percentage point lead over Democratic challenger Christie Vilsack at 48-to-45-percent. The poll was commissioned by a political action committee seeking to oust King from office.
A second poll released by the research firm of Greenburg, Quinlan Rosser found the race even tighter with King ahead 46-to-44-percent. The poll was commissioned by the Vilsack campaign.
Then there is the third poll from the American future fund. A conservative based group which shows King with a wider lead over Vilsack 48-to-41 percent.
All three polls were conducted within the past week and have a margin of error of just under plus or minus five percent.
