(ATLANTIC) An Avoca man was treated for minor injuries following a rollover accident in Cass County Friday.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says 48-year-old Roger Hobus was driving a 2006 Freightliner truck, pulling a trailer loaded with corn, westbound on Troublesome Creek Road when he drove to the north edge of the gravel road to avoid an oncoming car. The road edge gave away, causing the truck to roll over onto its side in the north ditch.
Hobus was taken to Cass County Memorial Hospital by private vehicle where he was treated for minor injuries and released. The damage to the semi was estimated at $20,000. A fence in the north ditch sustained $500 damage.
