(Harlan) The Shelby County Emergency Management Office has posted a “Red Flag Warning” for this afternoon and tomorrow.
Shelby County Emergency Management Director Bob Seivert says strong, southerly, winds, and low humidity and dry conditions with ample fuel are cause for alarm.
Call 911 at the onset, quickly, so the spread of the fire can be controlled and you will know that extra help is on the way if needed.
Have extinguishers in every combine and tractors with plows standing ready to build a fire break.
The local fire danger signs will remain in the EXTREME category.
