(Atlantic) A Cherokee, Iowa man faces numerous charges in Cass County.
The Atlantic Police Department says 38-year-old Timothy Russell was arrested Monday for Public Intoxication, Willful Injury, and Assault Will Injury.
According to the report, Russell was asked to leave an Atlantic residence and later returned to that same residence with a hammer and a sharp object, and allegedly assaulted one of the residents with the sharp object.
Russell was taken to the Cass County Jail and held. He was released by a Cass County Magistrate this morning.
The case remains under investigation.
