(ATLANTIC) The paving project on M56 from Marne to the Interstate is set to begin next week.
Cass County Engineer Charles Marker updated the Cass County Board of Supervisors on the project this morning.
“We will be starting with the actual overlay part of that paving project, we’ll go all the way through the city of Marne; we do the paved roads that’s on the south side of Highway 83, go all the up north of the main street through town out by Baxter Cycle and then we start outside on ours,” said Marker. “This is part of where the Farm to Market funds that goes to the city, and we retain part of it, is used to continue our extension of our roads into the city.”
Marker said the bridge on Victoria Road is complete and the Supervisors approved the final payment of $19,068.69 to A.M. Cohron & Sons Inc. The total project cost was $635,720.10.
