(Atlantic) Medivac Ambulance has new owners. Dave Miller has sold the business to Bob and Nella Sievert of Harlan. Miller introduced the new owners to the Atlantic City Council Wednesday night. Before that Miller presented the council with a brief activity report.
“In the past year and a half we have increased our staff,” stated Miller. “We have moved two full time paramedics into the Atlantic community and both have purchased real estate. Both have moved here from Nebraska. One of them has 20-years of experience and we were lucky to get him.”
Miller, who has spent 40-years with Medivac recently decided that it was time to retire.
Miller said, “I have been doing this since 1972 and it has been a wonderful career, but all goods things must come to an end. I know that when that pager goes off at 3:00 o’clock in the morning now and it is twenty-degrees below zero outside I don’t have to go.”
Nella and Bob Seivert of Harlan take over Medivac each with 28-years experience as medics. Bob will continue his duties as Shelby County Emergency Management Director and Nella will oversee the daily operations of Medivac.
