(COUNCIL BLUFFS) A Council Bluffs woman was injured in a wood-chipper accident Thursday.
Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker said Angela Davis was working for a tree removal service when the accident occurred.
“She had a chipper that was chipping up the branches from the three as they were taking them down. We don’t have an exact description of what happened, but apparently she was trying to free this rope out of the chipper and she kind of got pulled into the chute were the chipper is and had lacerations to her face and her leg,” explained Danker.
Danker said Davis was transported to Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
